Those who grew up in the 80s and 90s will remember the famous advert 'no Alpitour? ouch, ouch!'. Well, the same could be said if you needed to recover your motorbike by tow truck and didn't have a membership card (member, racetrack sport or sport) FMI. Let's leave it to the words of our Member Massimo, "great customer" FMI, who in his incredible journeys in Europe with his Cagiva Tamanaco 125, found himself using a service that every motorcyclist always hopes not to have to use, but to quote another 80's catchphrase... "prevention is better than cure!".
I will always deny that I have ever had any mechanical problems or annoyances with my mighty Tamanaco... Let's just say that I rather wanted to try the insurance service FMI... 🙂 Well, when I needed it, I called the number indicated on the card FMI and was always answered by an operator in Italian. In the case of the intervention required when I was in France, I was put through to a French-speaking operator who contacted a company based in France and coordinated the intervention. I was able to speak to the operator after a waiting time of a few seconds or, at most, minutes. The breakdown service took between three quarters of an hour and an hour and a half. I am fully satisfied with the service provided to me, in every respect. The cost? Up to EUR 300 is fully reimbursed by the insurance company FMI. Of course, the repair costs were my responsibility.
We would like to remind you that the insurance coverage FMI applies to Member, Sport Autodromi and Sport card holders, which you can purchase from Motoclub 125 Stradali ASD, by clicking here.
